Programmable Materials & Adaptive Structures

I am interested in exploring functional materials and hybrid digital fabrication to develop multistable structures with programmable mechanical behavior.

A prospective direction is to use localized electrical stimulation and material–structure design to control transitions between stable states, stiffness, and deformation modes. Potential applications range from interactive devices to robotic mechanisms.
